Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Who we are

Everyday Weight Loss is a trading name of BamMK Ltd., registered in England and Wales under company number 08314517.

Our registered office is The Old Workshop, Longfrey Cottage, Dorking Road, Chilworth, Guildford, Surrey, England, GU4 8RH.

BamMK Ltd. is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have questions about your information or want to exercise your privacy rights, email hello@theeverydayweightloss.com or write to our registered office.

When you sign up for emails

We collect your first name and email address when you sign up for the free 31-Day Kickstart, the book waitlist or our weekly emails. Both fields are required. We use your first name to personalise our emails and your email address to deliver them.

Signing up is voluntary. You can browse the website without subscribing.

Depending on the subscription you choose and the information shown on the signup form, we send:

  • The 31 daily Kickstart emails.

  • A weekly practical tip.

  • Book launch updates.

  • Occasional Everyday Weight Loss news and offers, including information about our books, workbooks, journals, podcast and videos.

Our lawful basis for sending these emails is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

We also retain subscription preferences, signup-source information and records of consent. We use these to manage your subscription, understand which signup routes people use and demonstrate how you joined. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interests in administering subscriptions and understanding our signup routes, and compliance with our data protection obligations.

When you buy a product

If you buy a product such as the 31-Day Kickstart Companion, we process the information needed to complete and support your purchase. This can include your name, email address, billing country, product purchased, amount paid and payment status.

We use this information to:

  • Deliver your purchase.

  • Send receipts and essential order messages.

  • Answer questions and provide support.

  • Handle refunds, payment issues and complaints.

  • Keep the records required for tax and accounting.

Our lawful basis for fulfilling and supporting your order is performance of our contract with you. We retain accounting records to comply with legal obligations.

We may also use order information to produce sales summaries, such as which products sell and the countries customers provide at checkout. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and managing our business.

Payments are processed by Stripe through MailerLite. We do not receive or store your full card number or card security code.

Buying a product does not, by itself, subscribe you to our marketing emails. If you have separately subscribed, we continue to respect your subscription preferences.

Email tracking

We use MailerLite to send our emails. Open and click tracking are enabled.

MailerLite uses a small tracking image and tracked links to record whether an email appears to have been opened and which links were clicked. These records can be associated with your subscriber details and include the time of the interaction, an IP address and an approximate location.

These measurements are not always accurate. Email providers and privacy tools can load images automatically or mask a reader’s location.

We use reporting information to understand how people reach our products, what they buy and the countries represented in our audience. We do not need your precise location for these purposes.

Email tracking is separate from the information needed to process a purchase. It is also separate from the website cookie preferences managed through CookieYes.

You can contact hello@theeverydayweightloss.com with questions about tracking or to request a change to how your information is used. You can stop future marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in each email.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message.

We use this to answer your enquiry and keep an appropriate record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business. Where your message concerns a purchase, we may also need the information to fulfil our contract with you.

Please do not send medical records or other sensitive health information. You do not need to provide that information to receive the Kickstart emails or buy the Companion.

Technical information

Our hosting and email services may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and delivery errors to operate their services, investigate faults and protect against abuse.

Our lawful basis for using information for these operational purposes is our legitimate interest in maintaining reliable and secure services. This is separate from optional tracking used to measure marketing activity.

Cookies and your choices

We use CookieYes to manage cookie preferences on our website.

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can also store or access information on your device.

You can use the cookie banner to accept or reject optional cookies and choose which categories to allow. You can reopen your preferences using the cookie settings control on the website.

Cookies needed to provide a service you request, maintain security or remember your cookie choices may operate without consent. Other cookies and similar technologies require consent unless a legal exception applies.

CookieYes stores information about your cookie preferences so those choices can be remembered and applied. We use this information to manage your preferences and meet our privacy obligations.

Details of the cookies identified on our website, including their purposes and durations, are available in the cookie preferences panel.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Deleting cookies may remove your saved preferences, so you may be asked to choose again. Blocking some cookies may affect website or checkout functions.

Our website cookie settings do not automatically change tracking settings in emails or on the separate MailerLite checkout.

For help with your privacy choices, email hello@theeverydayweightloss.com.

Who receives your information

We use the following services:

  • MailerLite: signup forms, subscriber records, email delivery, email reporting and digital-product sales.

  • Stripe: payment processing and related fraud prevention.

  • Hostinger: website hosting and our email inboxes.

  • CookieYes: our website cookie banner and preference-management service.

  • Google Fonts: delivery of website fonts. When your browser requests fonts from Google, Google receives technical information associated with that request, such as your IP address and browser information.

Providers may act on our instructions for some activities and be independently responsible for other processing, such as their own security or legal obligations.

Their privacy information is available here:

We may also share relevant information with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary for accounting, legal obligations or handling a dispute.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, or give it to other organisations for their own unrelated marketing.

Information processed outside the UK

Some service providers and their subcontractors may process personal information outside the UK.

Where this happens, the transfer must be covered by an applicable UK adequacy regulation or appropriate safeguards, such as approved contractual clauses with the necessary UK provisions.

You can contact us for information about the countries involved and the safeguards applicable to your information, including how to obtain a copy where appropriate.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected.

  • Email subscriptions: we keep the information needed to provide your subscription while it remains active.

  • Unsubscribe records: we retain a limited suppression record where necessary to ensure you are not accidentally added back to marketing emails.

  • Consent records: we retain evidence of consent for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance or resolve a complaint.

  • Purchase and accounting records: we normally retain these for six years from the end of the company financial year they relate to, or longer where the law requires it.

  • Enquiries and support correspondence: retention depends on whether the matter is resolved, whether further support is likely to be needed and whether the correspondence is needed for an order, complaint or legal claim.

  • Technical and reporting information: retention depends on the operational or reporting purpose, whether individual records remain necessary and the retention settings of the relevant service.

  • Cookie preferences: storage periods are described in the cookie preferences panel.

Unsubscribing stops marketing emails. It does not automatically delete purchase records or prevent us from sending necessary messages about an existing order.

Your choices and rights

You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing at any time. We will stop using it for that purpose.

You can unsubscribe using the link in our marketing emails or by emailing hello@theeverydayweightloss.com.

Depending on the circumstances, you can also ask us to:

  • Give you access to your personal information.

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.

  • Delete information.

  • Restrict how we use information.

  • Stop processing based on legitimate interests.

  • Provide certain information in a portable format.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

These rights are subject to the conditions and exceptions in data protection law. For example, we may need to retain some accounting records even if you request deletion.

We respond without undue delay, normally within one month. If a lawful extension applies, we will explain why and when you can expect a response. We may need information to verify your identity.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not have to contact us first, although we welcome the opportunity to resolve your concern.

Children

Our website, emails and products are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not seek subscriptions from children.

If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our services or use of personal information change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.

Where a change requires us to give you additional information or obtain fresh consent, we will do so before using your information in that way.
